Occupational Therapy

Our occupational therapist aims to help Stoney residents who face everyday challenges due to mental, physical or social disabilities. The therapist helps clientele to engage in purposeful activities or occupations to promote, regain or maintain health and well-being.

The program works with children and adults of all ages, whose difficulties have been present since birth, or are the result of an accident, illness, ageing or lifestyle.

Treatment programs vary greatly according to individual needs and may involve environmental modifications or special equipment. In conjunction with community health and home care professionals, the occupational therapist reviews treatment periodically, evaluates progress and modifies the treatment as appropriate.
