A Glimpse into our Services

Stoney Health provides a very wide range of programs and services designed to meet the health and wellness needs of every stage of life.

The primary care team features several family physicians and specialists dedicated to holistic Indigenous healthcare, a nurse practitioner and nursing services, and onsite clinical laboratory and x-ray services. Inside the Stoney Health Centre, there are also optometry and dental services, and a pharmacy to fulfill your prescription onsite.

Our community health nursing team identifies and works to control communicable diseases while offering services to support improved community maternal, child and school health.

Making healthcare accessible is at the heart of what we do. Our home and community care nursing team regularly visits and provides care in the homes for vulnerable community members, including seniors and others who are unable to travel. For health care needs either within or outside of the community, our locally-based drivers provide medical and community transportation where and when our clients need assistance.

We have broadened our range of allied health services to better support our clients’ complete healthcare needs. Clients now benefit from social work, physiotherapy, occupational and speech language therapy, nutrition, mental health, substance use and sexual health counselling), crisis support, fitness, personal training and exercise classes and health promotion and education.

We have expanded our community outreach efforts. We now offer crisis intervention, health and wellness information, cultural activities and various other supports designed to support early childhood, youth, families, Elders and seniors.
